The latest member of K.A. Williams's The Worst Sight series features an elder member of the tribe forced to watch as her family members and friends are enslaved and taken from Africa and transported to the United States of America. The year 1619 represents the date that enslaved Africans arrived in the USA at Jamestown and the year 1865 represents the year when the 13th amendment was passed that abolished slavery. If you look closely at her eyes you can see "The Worst Sight", which is another ship arriving to terrorize and enslave more Africans or a departing ship filled with what some may call slaves but people that she would call brother, sister, father and friend.
